Despite having lost 1 match in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, Germany is still the first team to win tickets to the world’s largest playground in Qatar next year. This impressive achievement is thanks to the high performance of the “tank” under the new coach Hansi Flick with 5 consecutive victories.
On the morning of October 12, Germany was a guest to North Macedonia in the 8th round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. The lack of ideal ground conditions and the ungodliness of the strikers made Germany accept a draw in the first half.
However, in the second half, Hansi Flick’s students did very well in the finishing section. Kai Havertz scored the opening goal, Timo Werner had a brace before Jamal Musiala scored a 4-star victory for the “tank”.
This victory gives Germany 21 points after 8 matches, 8 points ahead of second place Romania. Even after losing the last two matches, Hansi Flick’s teachers and students still won Group J and became the first team to win tickets to the 2022 World Cup.
