On the morning of February 7 (Hanoi time), coach Carlo Ancelotti’s teachers and students beat Granada 1-0 in round 23 of La Liga.

Real Madrid is playing at home but encounters many difficulties before Granada’s counter-attacking defensive style. Even the homeowner almost conceded a goal first.

In the 5th minute, space opened up in front of Antonio Puertas but his shot failed to beat goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. After the situation escaped defeat, Real Madrid pushed up the squad to put pressure on the opponent’s field.

“Los Blancos” made many runs and low crosses. On the day Karim Benzema was absent , all efforts of the host to dribble the ball were not effective.

Real Madrid’s most significant opportunity in the first half came from the mistake of the Granada defense. In the 31st minute, defender Neva almost “burned the temple” after the uncomfortable stretch of Dani Carvajal.

Real Madrid was absorbed in attack and revealed a gap in defence. In the 36th minute, Courtois had to face the away striker again. Like Puertas, Luis Suarez could not take advantage of a good opportunity to open the scoring.

The stalemate still clings to the host, although coach Carlo Ancelotti has made a series of personnel adjustments. Hazard, Jovic entered the field but only Marco Asensio could create waves in front of Granada’s goal. After many unsuccessful long-range attempts, the 1996 midfielder shone with a left-foot “cannonball” from a distance of 20 meters that did not give the goalkeeper a chance to block.

In the round of Sevilla being held back, Real took advantage of the opportunity to speed up in the championship race.

After having an advantage, Real Madrid actively reduced the tempo of the game to force the opponent to rise. In the 83rd minute, Asensio had a good chance to finish Granada. However, his shot from close range was blocked by Luis Maximiano.

The match at the Bernabeu ended with a minimal victory for Real Madrid. The Royal Spanish team continues to lead the table and widens the gap with Sevilla to 6 points.
