Arteta talks about rookies
Arsenal are expected to make three incredible new signings this summer to help them compete for the top four next season.
In the words of legendary manager George Graham, who brought two trophies to the club, he is impressed with Mikel Arteta and excited to hear the Gunners have their eyes on the likes of Serge Gnabry, Frenkie De Jong and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
“Arsenal has a reputation for bringing young players up from the academy since my days there,” Graham told the Mirror. “We bring in a lot of young players so it’s not surprising to see them play.”
“So I just hope that with the right two or three signings , special and special signings mean a heavy price.”
“The expectations are definitely top four, I like the way Arteta works. He’s a young coach and he’s got a great coach to work with with [Pep] Guardiola. So overall, I think he’s doing very well.”
Arsenal are in fourth place in the Premier League, following a win over Watford at Vicarage Road on Sunday afternoon. Arteta recently said he wants to add “quality” to his squad in the summer, after spending around £150m last summer.
