Gerrard recalls Klopp’s valuable advice when he first returned to Liverpool

 Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard was advised by Jurgen Klopp that there should be no room for ego when he returned to his old team to work.

After hanging up his boots, Gerrard returned to Liverpool to work for the academy. Gerrard progressed rapidly while working with the youth team, later taking charge of the Under-18s and Under-19s. He had previously turned down the hot seat of MK Dons due to his lack of experience but later accepted the challenge at Rangers.

He recently recalled the advice Klopp gave when he was a youth team coach at The Reds: ” It was one of the most important things for me when I decided to become a manager, I wanted to go back to the academy and I wanted to go back to the academy. talk to Jurgen Klopp for advice.”
