De Bruyne compares winning the Premier League and Champions League
Kevin De Bruyne was signed by the Blues in January 2012 but made just three Premier League appearances before moving to Wolfsburg. He joined Manchester City in 2015 and has since been named PFA Player of the Year twice.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah has only made 13 appearances in 13 months playing in London. However, played brilliantly at Fiorentina, Roma or now Liverpool.
Both players have won more individual and collective trophies since leaving Stamford Bridge, but De Bruyne is not upset about the Chelsea experience.
” We’re just two good players who haven’t played much ,” he told The Metro, reported by the Mirror.
“We both need to be confident and have game time and we have to go elsewhere to do that. Maybe it’s just a coincidence. You certainly can’t compare me now to what I am. did then – 10 years in football is your whole life,” concluded De Bruyne.
De Bruyne and Salah will meet again this Sunday, when City host Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium. When asked how he feels about Liverpool, the Belgian midfielder replied immediately: “I think they are great”.
“I feel like here two teams fight each other a lot and also understand each other. That needs to continue to be pushed and pushed,” added the Belgian midfielder.
Currently, Liverpool is only 1 point away from Man City on the table, so this match directly affects the championship.
