Billionaire Elon Musk wants to buy Manchester United

Last time MU fans were so disappointed with the Glazers that they even put up banners against the American boss. When MU was in a long decline after Sir Alex, they wanted the Glazers to spend more money and invest in the club.

The Red Devils’ miserable start to the new season under Eric Ten Haag, combined with a lack of shopping, has left fans even more frustrated. So, shortly after the billionaire revealed he had struck a deal in April to buy the social network, many encouraged Musk to buy Manchester United instead of Twitter.

“Elon Musk, buy Manchester United. All Manchester United fans will love this. Our club is being destroyed by the Glazers.”, shared by a Twitter user. One fan even made a Manchester United jersey modeled after the Tesla logo on the front.

The Daily Mirror reported last year that Manchester United boss Glazer had offered to sell the club. The figure is believed to be more than £4 billion ($4.84 billion). The Glazer family bought the club in 2005 for £790 million ($955.51 million).

Manchester United and a difficult 2022 transfer summer

So far, Manchester United has had 3 rookies: Tyrell Marasia, Lisandro Martinez and Christian Eriksen. The top two are from the Netherlands in the European middle league, and the other has been unable to play high-intensity games for a long time due to heart disease. These are potentially risky contracts.

After 2 rounds, none of the Manchester United forwards scored, but the only goal came from an own goal. Upgrading a striker is a top priority, but the names Manchester United are eyeing, 1 is not attractive enough, 2 is unacceptable for a team that only has a Europa League place and 3 has just signed a long-term contract. That’s why the team’s leadership doesn’t want to part with Cristiano Ronaldo anytime soon – as a replacement has yet to be found.

Clearly, for a team as declining and unattractive as United, it is understandable that the transfer team has struggled in negotiations. This has also affected the plans to increase the number of staff proposed by coach Erik Ten Hag.

Rabiot runs outside Manchester United for high salary

Juventus are said to have agreed to let Adrien Rabiot leave for a combined €15-17m. However, the Italian team could still use the player next season as United have yet to agree on a salary.

The player’s mother and agent want her son to receive between 8 and 10 million euros per season, a demand United cannot meet. England are already planning to look for other options for the remainder of the summer transfer market.

MU goes to Spain to hunt 2 players

MU prioritized recruiting a midfielder this summer, but the pursuit of No. 1 target Frenkie de Jong has stalled. Mou then moved on to Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot, but the French midfielder demanded too much salary and the deal fell apart. Among the latest developments, Casemiro is considered MU’s newest target.

According to Spanish media, MU representatives contacted Atletico Madrid player’s agent, Joao Felix, during his trip to Bullfight to recruit Casemiro from Real Madrid. MU tried to negotiate and hoped they would succeed this time.
